Machu Picchu By Train

This is a great program that allows you to enjoy more time on your visit to Machu Picchu. Travel by train through the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas along the course of Rio Urubamba. Overnight in the colorful handicraft village of Aguas Calientes.

Cusco Machu Picchu Day 1

Transfer to the Poroy or Ollantaytambo train station. Train to Aguas Calientes. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore this picturesque town. Here are some tips: You could easily make a beautiful walk of about 40 minutes downstream following the course of the river until you reach a bridge called Ruins , very near the museum site of Machu Picchu is a very interesting place where you can learn very important historical aspects of the discovery of Machu Picchu. In the afternoon or evening you may visit the hot springs that are located in the upper part of the town , about 15 minutes. Here you will find pools of hot water, to which are credited with medicinal properties. Overnight at hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 2 Visit to Machu Picchu

After breakfast, ascend to Machu Picchu. Once the guided tour is finished, we will have free time to take pictures and follow it on your own. Then descend to the village of Aguas Calientes, where you can visit the hot springs , return to Cusco by train.
