The Apurimac River recently incorporated to the world’s river rafting circuit, it constitutes a unique experience due to its landscapes and degree of difficulty. Few river rafting circuits offer the possibility of running the mouth of the Amazon river throught granite canyons of more that 3000 m deep, Class III to V rapids white sanded beaches and wolderful rock formations in total isolation. The expeditions start at the city of cuzco and take from the walpachaca bridge and ending in the thermal waters of Cconoc, including camps on the banks of the river. Among its most famous rapids and are reserved for experts and adventure lovers.

ITINERARY

Day 01:

We will depart from Cusco at 8:30 am. Descending for about 4 hours into the Apurimac canyon to get the bridge Hualpachaca 2,000 meters. We will take a two-hour lunch and prepare all the equipment for the rafting. It will be given an explanation of all necessary safety equipment such as life jackets, helmets , wetsuits, waterproof jacket , paddle and self-evacuating a raft . We will train you at all rafting techniques. We will be floating running class II and training. In the late hours of the afternoon, we will camp in a small sand beach and the guides will prepare us tea and then dinner . (L D )

Day 02:

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll walk to the river floating for about 6 hours running class III and IV. The canyon walls are very impressive and close above us, we will run several rapids like ” Carve “, ” the Bat cave ” . We will have lunch on the river and camp on the beach called the Bureau. This is characterized by good surface and stunning white sand cliffs across the river . (B to D).

Day 03:

We will start early having a couple of class V rapids such as ” Toothache ” and ” Your First” , depending on the water level on the first and the last day , passengers will be able to walk around certain class V rapids plus. After 4 hours on the river, we will reach the exit, where our private camp will serve a barbecue. We will return to Cusco around 5pm. (B L).
