The Urubamba River runs from the high Andean zone down through the Sacred Valley of the Incas , Machu Picchu to the jungle . This activity is done in the part called ” Chuquichuana ” river . This section is class III and IV with large standing waves and holes. It makes for an exciting day of rafting and incredible scenery.

ITINERARY

Itinerary

We will meet at 9:00 am in the office where a private shuttle awaits to take us to Camp at “CASA CUSI ” link at the top of the Urubamba River ( Vilcanota ) where we have all rafting equipment . When we get to the campsite we will provide all rafting equipment staff such as life jackets , waterproof jacket, the neoprene suit and helmet. Once you have put all equipment class V expert guides will give a safety briefing and instructions about rafting in rapids class. After crossing the river for two and half hours of rafting our transportation will return us to the “Camping Cusipata and  Quiquijana , where we will end our tour.

We’ll be back in Cusco after lunch and  before Dusk.
