Visit to the Planetarium Cusco

DESCRIPTION

The Cusco planetarium tour is a unique experience that allows visitors to explore and learn about the universe and Andean astronomy. At the planetarium, astronomy experts guide visitors through an unforgettable experience, using specialized telescopes and equipment to observe and learn about the stars, planets, constellations and other celestial bodies. 

Visitors can see the brightest and most famous stars in the galaxy, and learn about the Andean cosmovision and how ancient Peruvians interpreted and used the stars and planets in their daily lives. In addition, astronomy experts offer talks and explanations about current astronomical events, such as eclipses, meteor showers and other celestial phenomena, making the experience educational and interesting for visitors of all ages.

VISIT TO THE CUSCO PLANETARIUM IN THE AFTERNOON

• 17:30 – 19:00 We meet the rest of the group at the Regocijo square and from there we head to the upper part of the city to get to the planetarium where we will have a talk about the equipment and begin to see the stars with the professional telescopes that are there.
• 19:00 – 20:00 We access a room that is a dome where the beauty of the Andean sky and the beliefs that are related to these are shown.
• 20:00 – 20:30 We finish with the return to the Regocijo square.

OUR PROGRAM INCLUDES:

• Informative talk: A day before the service, a meeting is held at the hotel where we will have a complete orientation about the experience.
• Personalized groups: The groups are small and personalized to provide a better shared experience.
• Tourist transportation: Ideal transportation from Plaza Regocijo – Planetarium – Plaza Regocijo.
• Guided tour: A guided tour of the entire planetarium.
• Astronomers: A professional astronomer to guide us in the use of the telescopes and focus.
• Complete equipment: Use of professional telescopes and a dome adapted for the projection of stars.

• Extra expenses: Some expenses such as purchase of handicrafts, clothes or drinks, are also not included in the tour. Tips are also not included and are voluntary.
