DESCRIPTION

The countryside tour in Arequipa is an interesting option for travelers looking to learn about the culture and traditions of the towns near the city. This tour offers a unique experience for visitors, who can enjoy beautiful natural landscapes, learn about the production processes of local products and learn about the customs and traditions of rural communities. 

During the tour you can visit different places such as the Sabandía Mill, where wheat flour is produced, the Sachaca viewpoint, with impressive panoramic views of the city, and the house-museum of the founder of Arequipa, Don Garcí Manuel de Carbajal. You can also visit small towns nearby, where you can learn about the production of alpaca wool, the cheese-making process and the production of chicha, a typical drink of the region.

HALF DAY TOUR OF THE COUNTRYSIDE

Option 1: Touring the countryside in the morning

• 09:00 – 09:30 Beginning of the experience at your hotel and meeting with the rest of the group.
• 09:30 – 11:30 We start the visit with the sector of Cayma, where we reach the viewpoint of the countryside and enjoy the panoramic view.
• 11:30 – 13:00 The road takes us to the Sabandia mill, the Paucarpata platforms and finally we return to Arequipa.
• We finish our experience back to our hotel.

Option 2: Touring the countryside in the afternoon

• 13:30 – 14:00 Beginning of the experience at your hotel and meeting with the rest of the group.
• 14:00 – 15:30 We start the visit with the sector of Cayma, where we reach the viewpoint of the countryside and enjoy the panoramic view.
• 15:30 – 17:00 The road takes us to the mill of Sabandia, the terraces of Paucarpata and finally we return to Arequipa.
• We finish our experience back to our hotel.
