Itinerary
TREK TO MACHUPICCHU VALLEY LARES 04 DAYS – 03 NIGHTS
DAY 01: CUSCO – LARES – WACAWASI
We will start early passing by the hotels around 06:30 am with our tourist transport and then continue the trip to Calca where we make a short visit to the market, then we go to the town of Lares where we take the time to have lunch and relax in the thermal baths that are in the place. In the afternoon we start our hike to reach the Wacawasi village where we will learn more about its history and tradition. There we will arrive to our first camp.

DAY 02: WACAWASI – IPSAYCOCHA – PATACANCHA
When we wake up we have a delicious breakfast prepared by our team and we start our day with the ascent to the highest point of the entire hike, the Ipsaykassa pass where we will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of flora and fauna.
After a while we continue our way and descend to the Ipsaycocha lagoon where we will have free time to enjoy our varied lunch. In the afternoon we will arrive to our next camping point which is the artisan village of Patacancha.

DAY 03: PATACANCHA – PUMAMARCA – AGUAS CALIENTES
In the morning after breakfast our transportation takes us to the sector of Patallacta where our ascent begins again walking to the sector of Pumamarca, there we will find an Inca trail that leads us to a sector of terraces and gradually descend to the sector of Ollantaytambo where we rest a moment and enjoy a varied lunch.
Then we go to the train station where we board a train to finally reach Aguas Calientes, upon arrival we settled in our hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon free to visit the town and rest, we can also visit the hot springs that are in the village, at night we meet the guide to dine in a restaurant.

DAY 04: MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
In the morning after breakfast we ascend in a tourist bus to the citadel of Machupicchu where we enjoy a guided and complete visit touring the main places such as the guardian’s house, main square, temple of the 3 windows and others.
After 2 hours of visit we leave the citadel to board a bus that will finally take us to Aguas Calientes where we can have lunch in one of the restaurants that are on private account. Finally in the afternoon we board a train that will take us to Ollantaytambo where we will make a connection with the tourist bus of bimodal service that will finally bring us to the city of Cusco, arriving on average at 18:30 pm.
- The transportation leaves us near the Temple of the Sun where we can choose to take a cab or go to the main square to walk.

- Informative talk: A day before the service, a meeting is held at the hotel where we will have a complete orientation about the experience.

- Tent equipment: Comfortable tents for the comfort of the client, in a 4-person tent 2 travelers can be accommodated and in the double tent only 1 traveler.
- Camping equipment: We provide comfortable inflatable mattresses suitable for all climates, they are waterproof for safety.
- Dining equipment: A complete set of tables, chairs, tablecloths, tableware (plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and others) necessary for comfort.
- Courtesy: Upon waking up and arriving at each camp, the team provides us with coca tea and other infusions to be able to rest.
- Food: Within the experience we have included 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners throughout the trip.
- Variety of diet: In case a gluten free, corn free or vegetarian diet is required, it is requested in advance.
- Tourist transportation: Tourist service from Patallacta – Patacancha.
- Professional staff: We permanently train the team of muleteers and the cook to provide an adequate service.
- Muleteers and muleteers: Staff from nearby communities who help us carry camping equipment and food.
- Water refill: At each rest and food point our cook provides us with boiled water that we can carry in our canteen.
- Cleaning supplies: The team provides us with a small bathtub and a towel to clean ourselves every day in the morning.
- Train Ticket: Travel from Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes (Voyager Service).
- Hotel in Aguas Calientes: 01 night in a comfortable hotel with all services included and breakfast the next day (Ask for the accommodation of your choice).
- Entrance ticket: Entrance ticket to Machupicchu.
- Special ticket: Entrance ticket to the thermal baths of Lares.
- Bus ticket consettur: Travel by bus from Machupicchu – Aguas Calientes.
- Train ticket: Travel from Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo (Voyager Service).
- Final transportation: Bimodal tourist bus service from Ollantaytambo – Cusco.
OUR PROGRAM DOES NOT INCLUDE:
- Flights: National or international air service.
- Hot springs: Entrance tickets are personal and are purchased at the same place (Aguas Calientes).
- Meals: Everything not mentioned in the itinerary. Breakfast on the first day, lunch and dinner on the last day.
- Extra expenses: Some expenses such as purchase of handicrafts, clothes or drinks, are also not included in the tour. Tips are not included and are voluntary.
- Huaynapicchu ticket: Special entrance to access the Huaynapicchu mountain.
- Travel insurance: This is extremely important to enjoy a safe trip.
