INCA TRAIL SHORT 02 DAYS – 01 NIGHT

DAY 01: CUSCO – CHACHABAMBA – WIÑAYWAYNA – AGUAS CALIENTES

The experience begins in the morning around 04:00 am from the hotel where our transportation takes us to the bus station to board a bus and then get to the town of Ollantaytambo, here we will have to continue our journey by train to km 104 where we meet our guide and our guided adventure begins. We will pass a brief control to present the documentation and we will arrive to the sector of Chachabamba to visit it and then begin the ascent first to Wiñayhuayna where we can calmly have our box lunch and then continue to the high part which is the door of the sun or Inti Punku (2720 masl – 8923 feet) where we will also have some free time to enjoy the beautiful view, then we continue the way down to the citadel of Machupicchu to leave through the control and arrive to the town of Aguas Calientes. 

Upon arrival we go first to our hotel to settle in calmly and then we have the afternoon free to explore the town on our own or visit the hot springs, finally in the evening we enjoy our dinner and coordinate the details for the next day.

DIA 02: MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

In the morning after breakfast we ascend in a tourist bus to the citadel of Machupicchu where we enjoy a guided and complete visit touring the main places such as the guardian’s house, main square, temple of the 3 windows and others.

After 2 hours of visit we leave the citadel to board a bus that will finally take us to Aguas Calientes where we can have lunch in one of the restaurants there and we will have time to walk around the town on our own. Finally in the afternoon we board a train that will take us to Ollantaytambo where we will make a connection with the tourist bus of bimodal service that will finally bring us to the city of Cusco, arriving on average at 18:30 pm.

• The transportation leaves us near the Temple of the Sun where we can choose to take a cab or go to the main square to walk.

OUR PROGRAM DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Flights: Domestic or international air service.
• Meals: Everything not mentioned in the itinerary. Breakfast on the first day, lunch and dinner on the last day.
  
• Extra expenses: Some expenses such as purchase of handicrafts, clothes or drinks, are also not included in the tour. Tips are not included and are voluntary.
  
• Huaynapicchu ticket: Special entrance to access the Huaynapicchu mountain.
  
• Travel insurance: This is extremely important to enjoy a safe trip.
